Stanley Cup Final

The Stanley Cup Final featuring the Blackhawks and Flyers has the potential to deliver a heavyweight fight caliber series. The schedule for the Final starts Saturday night in Chicago. The Hawks are a solid team featuring two young stars in the making, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane. Toews (taze) is the captain and Kane, played on the U.S. Olympic team. Dustin Byfuglien, who was left off the U.S. team, is my pick for the Conn Smythe trophy (Most Valuable player).

The Flyers on the other hand are riding a wave of momentum. They won a shootout over the N.Y. Rangers on the last day of the season, upset the N.J. Devils in round one, the did the impossible in beating the Bruins after trailing in the series three games to none, and soundly beat the Canadiens. This will be their toughest test. If The Flyers can spread their scoring around and continue to play physically, I see the Final going the distance to seven games. Who will have enough gas in the tank to take home Lord Stanley?
What I do know is that it will be fun to watch.
